CAMPUS THAT SHAPED LIFE: PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL

Ten years on since graduation, we have very fond memories of our two years at IIMA. Re-visiting campus recently and meeting with many of our batch mates at the tenth year re-union in 2016 re-kindled a lot of those memories.

Hailing from relatively similar backgrounds, both of us sought admission into IIMA with high hopes and expectations – of learning from the best teachers, studying amidst the smartest peers and securing a future with a sound career option of our choice.

Our time at IIMA was a truly humbling experience. It was an education not just in academics, but in various facets of life. On one hand, competing with extremely intelligent and ambitious peers who had all been very successful in their academic and professional fields prior to IIMA was truly challenging. On the other, it taught us to recognize and respect diverse skill sets and mindsets, to work and play together, to establish long-lasting professional and personal bonds. Appreciation for our individual uniqueness as well as our complementary nature formed the basis of not only our personal relationship, but our relationship with several of our batch mates.

We also had our share of fun as it was the first on-campus hostel experience for both of us. There was ample opportunity for us to have some memorable moments with our friends, many of which we are likely to hold on to forever.

Looking back, we feel we were fortunate to have realized our aspirations with which we joined IIMA, and more. It was more than just a two-year PGP course. It was instrumental in shaping our future personal and professional lives. We both consider ourselves to be privileged to have experienced life at IIMA and will always remain proud alumni of this great institution.
