New Executive Committee for the Ahmedabad Chapter

To mark the transition from the outgoing Executive Committee (FY 2022-24) to the incoming executive committee (FY 2024-26), the IIMA Alumni Association Ahmedabad Chapter’s (IIMAAAC) held a Grand Finale function on March 23, 2024. The event was Held at the PP Gupta Auditorium, the event was a celebration of achievements, camaraderie, and anticipation for the future. The event was attended by more than 100 Chapter IIMA alumni and family members. Mr Himal Parikh, the immediate Past President of the association introduced the incoming Executive committee members to members. Mr Rajiv Sharma, Mr Hardik Chopra and Mr Vivek Nathwani were elected as President, Secretary and Treasurer of IIMAAAAC by the Executive Committee for next two years (FY2024-26).

Amitabh Shah Inspires at IIMAAAAC Study Circle Event

On April 5, 2024, the IIM Alumni Association Ahmedabad Chapter (IIMAAAAC) hosted a captivating Study Circle event featuring Amitabh Shah, the visionary Founder and Chief Inspiration Officer (CIO) of Yuva Unstoppable. Approximately 80 participants attended the inspiring study circle event where Amitabh Shah shared some facts about his inspiring life journey, and vision and passion of his organisation for transforming lives through education. Through Yuva Unstoppable, he has championed quality education, hygiene, and overall well-being and his mission resonates with countless children, lighting up their paths toward a brighter future. A few members of his Yuva team also attended the session and reflected upon the impact of Yuva Unstoppable mission on their lives. 

The event took place in an inviting classroom setting-CR7 at IIMA campus, where Mr. Shah shared his insights and passion for transforming lives through education and social work.

Study Circle Event with Ahmedabad Medical Association

The IIMA Alumni Association Ahmedabad Chapter’s (IIMAAAAC) Alumni Study Circle and Ahmedabad Medical Association held a training event on May 4, 2024, at the PP Gupta Auditorium. Attended by more than 35 members and spouses, the focus of the event was on Emergency Action Plan Training, with a special training session and demonstration led by Dr. Hiren Shah and Dr. Vaibhav Patel on Compression-Only Life Support (COLS). Attendees included alumni and their spouses and the event was organised in association with local Medical.

Outcomes and Impact of COLS training:

• Increased awareness about emergency preparedness in case of encountering a Cardiac emergency.
• Participants gained confidence in administering COLS during a cardiac arrest emergency.
• Alumni expressed interest in similar future events and Health Check Up camps.

Film screening and Family Get-Together

About 45 Ahmedabad Chapter members and spouses got together over a screening of the recently launched movie Shrikanth, starring Rajkumar Rao on 11 May 2024. The event was organized as a social gathering for IIMAAAAC members and their families. Apart from enjoying a movie show together, the event provided an opportunity for networking, reconnecting, and sharing experiences.

Synchrony 2024 organised by IIMAAAAC 

The IIMA New Campus was abuzz with excitement and anticipation as it hosted ‘Synchrony 2024’ at the AB-2 auditorium on Sunday, June 2, 2024. This event marked a significant occasion, bringing together over 200 students from the incoming batch, along with their parents and esteemed alumni members of the IIM Ahmedabad Alumni Association Chapter (IIMAAAAC). The event was filled with a series of discussions, interactive engagement activities, and networking opportunities, fostering a sense of community and belonging among the new students. The evening culminated in a sumptuous dinner, providing a taste of the campus life that awaits them. The event concluded with a Campus Walk, a tradition that offers the incoming batch a glimpse into the rich heritage and the vibrant student life that defines IIMA. ‘Synchrony 2024’ not only served as an introduction to the academic rigor of IIMA but also highlighted the institute’s commitment to building a supportive and dynamic learning environment.
