Synopsis
Memories of one’s first love persist through the ages and refuse to fade. It is no different for Rahul, a successful bureaucrat and a widower who is equally torn between his unquestionable love for his wife and a love buried deep within his heart for decades.
Enchanting Neeli is a love story that starts in the city, which is home to the timeless symbol of Love, Taj Mahal – unfortunately, like most first love- the story came to an unintended end. When Rahul met her again, she was engaged to someone else. Life happened; Rahul became a successful bureaucrat, got married and became a doting father. But as they say, Rahul, too, always thought of life and what would have been with all the ifs and buts. Time has only spread a veil of dust on the memories; it has not erased them. Does his first love really deserve a second chance?
As a twist in the tale, destiny brings him to a crossroad where he must act, but there are possible emotional costs that he may have to pay. If you have ever loved or have a spark of love buried in some corner of your heart, you would love to read the story and think, what if.
Author Bio
Sanjeev Kotnala is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad – 1987 Batch. He has over 37 years of corporate brand, marketing, and consultancy experience. He serves as a director on the Indian Board of ‘Aide-et-Action’, an international NGO. His debut novel, ‘Chimera of Lansdowne’, a paranormal story published in 2018, since then he has published ‘Life Reloaded’ and ‘Reflections’ (anthologies of ‘Real Life Impact Stories”), ‘Always Questioning Life’ (Poem) and ‘Enchanting Neeli’, his first romance novel. He also runs PAHAADI, a platform for writers with roots in Uttarakhand, which is in its 4th season. Sanjeev’s weekly column- KOTMARTIAL in mxmindia.com, has been running for an uninterrupted 550+ weeks. He is a compulsive doodler and calls it meditative. Sanjeev is an ICF-certified coach, NLP facilitator and trainer and runs specialised Ideation and Personal Branding workshops.
