September continued the Ahmedabad Chapter’s focus on knowledge sharing, professional engagement and informal alumni interaction, with a diverse mix of programmes during the month.
The month began with a Study Circle featuring Avinash Punekar, CEO of iCreate, who spoke on “India’s Deep-Tech Opportunity.” The session provided members with insights into India’s emerging deep-tech ecosystem, entrepreneurship, and the opportunities being created in technology-led businesses. The discussion also highlighted the growing relevance of deep technology, innovation and entrepreneurial leadership in India’s evolving business landscape.

The chapter also organised a Movie Screening of Hanuman Ansh, providing members an opportunity to connect in a more informal and social setting. Such programmes continue to complement the chapter’s knowledge-focused initiatives by creating opportunities for alumni to interact outside conventional professional settings. The movie outing also helped encourage participation from members who may not regularly attend structured academic or professional sessions.
The month concluded with a Breakfast cum Discussion session on “Why SIPs Don’t Deliver as Expected”, featuring Mr. Ashwani Gupta, an IIM-A alumnus and investment professional. The session focused on understanding the factors that can influence SIP outcomes and provided an opportunity for members to engage in an interactive discussion around investing and financial markets. The programme combined networking over breakfast with practical knowledge sharing and member interaction.

Across these programmes, the chapter continued to offer a mix of intellectual, professional and social experiences, keeping alumni engagement broad and accessible. The September calendar also reflected the chapter’s ongoing effort to bring together alumni with varied interests—from entrepreneurship and deep technology to personal finance and social interaction.
Overall, September reinforced the chapter’s objective of creating meaningful opportunities for learning, networking, fellowship, and knowledge sharing, while building a stronger and more active alumni community in Ahmedabad.
