In continuation of the efforts by the Institute to bring all interested alumni together in specific areas of interest or sector, Healthcare SIG (Mumbai) is being formed to address interests of and synergize the energies of IIMA community, including alumni, students and faculty to advance healthcare agenda.
A preliminary discussion meeting was held (19/01/2019) with the objective of discussing the vision and co-evolve priorities and action plans for Healthcare SIG. It was attended by 25 participants – including many senior alumni with very rich experience and varied expertise [Dilip Shah (PGP66, ex-CMD Pfizer), Shailesh Ayyangar (PGP84, Strategic Projects Head GEM-Asia, Sanofi Aventis), Brijesh Kapil (PGP87, Director Sales & Marketing, P&G), Raghu kumar (PGP75, ex-MD Allergan), Sharad Tyagi (PGP85, MD-Boehringer), Jamila Joseph (Reliance Life-sciences), B Anandh (MD-Menarini), Ashok Jain (ED-Micro Labs)] were amongst attendees who shared range of ideas and suggestions.
Sudarshan Jain (PGP77, ex-CEO Abbott), Manish Gupta (MD, Indigene) and Vivek Joshi (PGPX-2007, ex-Kotak PE Investments) are championing the cause of Healthcare SIG with due support from equally enthusiastic alumni from Mumbai. Prof Viswanath Pingali specially visited Mumbai to attend and guide the proceedings of the initial deliberations.
