October 2025 – From the Editor

Dear Alums,

We are delighted to bring you the October 2025 issue of The WIMWIAN with the theme

“Best Friend Special” to cherish the bonds of friendships that thrived & flourished in IIM-A, and at times moulded careers, families, and communities. We hope these tales bring you hope, take you back to a memory lane, and maybe get in touch with an old friend today.

Moreover, at IIM-A, we always celebrate excellence; hence, we feature the “Young Alumni Achievers Awards 2025”, the 10 Young Alumni Achievers (YAA) Awardees from 2025, with their commitment, passion, and leadership skills, have made an impact on their respective fields. Our Young Alumni leaders from multi-domain profiles, with their work across diverse sectors, reflect the broad imprint our community leaves on society. We hope you enjoy reading about these amazing fellow alumni.

We honor the teachers who guided generations of students through the “Tribute to Teachers” section. And a reflective article by IIMA Archives on Anant Raje and the Ravi J. Matthai Auditorium; a rich Special Feature by Sirisha Bhamidipati (PGP 2004) on ‘My Dream of an Inclusive India’; along with chapter updates from Ahmedabad – Educational Visit to the Indian Institute of Skills, Mumbai – Synchrony 2025, Learnings from the Bhagavad Gita, Pancham Da Fever, and case study discussions along with glimpses from the First Edition of the Prestige – Inter-chapter Competition’25.

Our Book Shelf and Alumni Writes sections continue to remind us how many of you are contributing intellectually and creatively to public life. As always, The WIMWIAN is a conversation – your memories, reflections, and suggestions enrich every edition.

Warm regards,

Prof. Sunil Maheshwari,

Dean, Alumni and External Relations
