Mr. M Subramaniam’s  (3TP 1979) wife  Mrs. Rayvathi Subramaniam shared the news about the departed ‘People’s Leader from L&T’.

I am writing to inform you that my husband Mr. M Subramaniam of L&T, Reliance passed away in January 2018. He was an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad and attended several programs during the course of his career with Larsen & Toubro.

As it may be of interest to the alumni association and its members I have attached a memoriam published in the in-house magazine of L&T construction.

I would also like to inform you that in March this year the Construction Industry Development Council honored him with the lifetime achievement award for his contribution to the construction industry at the CIDC Vishwakarma awards ceremony in Delhi.

He personally benefited from the work of Prof Udai Pareek and Dr. T V Rao of IIM Ahmedabad in setting up the Organization Development program as part of the newly named HRD function within L&T in the mid-seventies and the eighties. And later he worked closely with them in developing managerial talent in L&T.

He was always very proud of the institution and what he learnt through his different engagements with IIM Ahmedabad.
