Synopsis

This book is 4th in the series, intended to guide the Leaders / Owners of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to become successful entrepreneurs. The earlier 3 books were: 1. Effective Leadership in MSMEs, 2. Strategies to Build High-Performance Teams, 3. Road to Business Excellence.

The current book, “Amar wants to set up a new business enterprise,” is for quick, easy reading and understanding of steps by entrepreneurs and leaders to set up and run efficiently and profitably a new, stable, and growing business enterprise. It provides guidance about the development of the right mindset in the entrepreneur to successfully run the business with growth, profitability, and ultimately achieve “Business Excellence” of the enterprise. It succinctly touches upon, in general, the various aspects of the enterprise through relevant illustrations, about:

1. Setting up the Vision, Mission, and values, and understanding the Business Concept.

2. Strategy making for the organization and also for the major functions of the enterprise. It also deals with

3. Forecasting of demand, setting up the Marketing, Sales, and brand-building function

4.  Business and Financial planning,

5. This then leads to the organization and team building to achieve the results planned.

6.  In continuation comes the study of Business Processes, and their improvements to achieve efficiency and quality.

7. “Operational Excellence” is extremely essential for the enterprise to compete successfully in the marketplace and aim for “customer delight”.

8. Introduction to the management of productivity and quality, management of stakeholders, and finally, aiming for and achieving.

The purpose of this book is to educate the owners and leaders to systematically build a successful enterprise, ensure growth, customer delight, good cash flow management, and finally get “peace of mind” for the entrepreneur.

About the Author

Shrikant N Pangarkar – Post-graduate in Mechanical Engineering (M. Tech) and Business 

Management (MBA) from IIM Ahmedabad. Work experience of about 37 years in multiple 

functions and different types of industries in India.

Handled technical, operational, commercial, and leadership responsibilities, while managing relationships with vendors, customers, and foreign collaborators. In his final corporate assignment, he led two new projects involving the identification of foreign collaborators, completion of technology transfer processes, and development of markets and products. He played a key role in designing and establishing a new manufacturing facility, successfully operationalising the business, and subsequently served as Executive Director and CEO of a multinational company. He was instrumental in creating the market from the conceptual stage and carried complete profit and loss responsibility for the organisation. He also facilitated five collaboration agreements during his tenure.

Drawing upon his extensive cross-industry experience, he developed expertise in delivering results across diverse projects and business environments. Following a rich and multidimensional corporate career, he began undertaking management consultancy assignments in January 2011 across a wide range of sectors. His clients have included Bosch, TVS Group, Masu Brakes, and Makino Friction, among others.
