Welcomes 2026 with its 8th Family Bash
The Mumbai Chapter of the IIM-A Alumni Association began the year on a cheerful note with its 8th family bash, held on Saturday, 10 January 2026 at the rooftop of Hotel Orchid. The event brought together nearly 325 participants: alumni, spouses, children, and friends, all for an evening of connection and celebration.
The rooftop setting, with its crisp winter air, provided the perfect backdrop. A generous spread of food and ever-flowing drinks kept conversations flowing. Activities ensured that everyone from children to adults found something to enjoy. Children were entertained with tattoos, a magic show, and a fancy dress competition, dart games, while adults engaged in couple games and massages. Two different photo booths added to the fun, offering instant photo frames and even personalized coffee mugs, making memories easy to carry home.
Sponsors also set up shopping counters, adding another layer of engagement. A thoughtful highlight was the presence of four visually impaired professionals from the National Association for the Blind (NAB) who offered foot and hand spa services. Their skill and dedication left a lasting impression and reminded us of the chapter’s commitment to social responsibility.
The evening was further energized by the support of sponsors, including ‘63Sats’, and a touch of Bollywood, with the production team of Z Studios and BLive joining in to promote their latest movie release – “Rahu Ketu”. Their presence added a spark of excitement and kept the mood lively. The event was also made feasible by a generous sponsorship from ‘Zopper Insurance’ and ‘DMax by DBramante28’.
The annual family bash has become a much‑loved tradition for the Mumbai chapter, offering alumni and their family members a chance to reconnect outside formal settings. It is a reminder that our community thrives not only on professional achievements but also on shared experiences and simple joys.
