DIPLOMA & MEMORIES GALORE
Walking through the hallowed portals of most prestigious institute of this country on that bright, summer day of June 2008 when Ankur and I were being inducted, we had little idea that we will walk away with more than a diploma and memories. We have had the good fortune of meeting some of the most treasured people of our lives here, who still walk by our side and are a source of strength and encouragement. None more so than each other, once batch mates but now best friends, spouses and soulmates.
Luck did play its part as we must admit, it wasn’t very hard running into each other. All thanks to the alphabetical seating pattern in every section that landed us in adjacent seats in Section B. One of our first conversations was how we will make sure that T-Night belongs to Section B (something we were successful at and still brag about to date). Two years flew by in a jiffy and we moved to two different cities and very different professions (Arpita is a consultant with Deloitte and Ankur works with HSBC Treasury).
However, it must be true that distance makes the heart grow fonder, as we got married a couple of years later in October 2013 and currently reside in Mumbai. While being from very different cultural backgrounds, our families have been our constant pillar of support and make us who we are. We are happy to share our life and story with the institute that holds a revered place in our hearts and we never give away any opportunity to be at the campus again!
