Gurveen Bedi & Anindya Dutta, (PGP 2011)
Like most college romances, ours started in the classroom. We were both in Section B, and the initial chemistry sparked during T-Nite preparations. It further developed with furtive glances during classes, lengthy debates over tea, study sessions in the library and many long walks and talks. We sailed through IIM with an amazing bunch of friends, and created lifelong memories.
With our ‘2 States’ backgrounds, and varied choices in career, we had a fair share of hiccups to deal with. Post-graduation, we took up jobs that led us to be 4,477 miles apart, with Anindya in Goldman Sachs London and me in Bain & Company Mumbai. It then took us a few years to get on to a common path, get married and co-locate in London. Now we share a warm life together in London – I continue to work at Bain and Anindya has moved to Oaktree Capital, a private equity firm. We remain surrounded by an amazing bunch of IIMA friends, and continue our debates and discussions!
