Connecting, Learning and Building a Stronger Alumni Community
The IIMA Alumni Association – Vadodara Chapter continued to build an active and engaged alumni community during June–August 2026, with a mix of informal gatherings, learning sessions, and initiatives focused on meaningful alumni interaction.
The quarter began with a Coffee Meet on June 26, providing alumni an opportunity to reconnect across batches and enjoy informal conversations outside the usual professional setting. The Chapter followed this with a Heartfulness Meditation Session on August 6, attended by around 20 participants. The session introduced participants to relaxation and meditation practices, followed by an interactive experience. It offered alumni an opportunity to pause, reflect, and explore practical ways of bringing greater calm and balance into everyday life.

On August 19, the Chapter hosted another Coffee Meet at KOA Café, Sevasi. The gathering brought together familiar faces as well as alumni attending a Chapter event for the first time. Over coffee, food, and conversations, alumni from different batches exchanged experiences and strengthened their connections.

The quarter concluded with a thought-provoking Bhagavad Gita session on August 31 with Dr. Asmani Surve. What began as an introduction to the timeless principles of the Gita evolved into a lively one-and-a-half-hour interaction on karma, conflict management, spirituality, detachment, and identity. The discussion focused particularly on applying these principles to contemporary life — at work, in business, in relationships, and at home. Participants left with much to reflect upon and, hopefully, a resolve to do one thing differently in their own “Kurukshetras”.

Alongside these activities, the Chapter has also undertaken a Members’ Directory, an initiative we believe can serve as a useful benchmark for alumni chapters. The directory brings together the profiles of Chapter members in a professionally designed publication and was formally launched as a record of the growing alumni community in Vadodara.
The Chapter remains committed to creating opportunities for alumni to connect, learn, share, and build lasting relationships, while steadily developing initiatives that add value beyond individual events.
